How to protect yourself ?

There are several companies that sell covers that supposedly block electromagnetic waves but this can not be checked at 100 percent and anyway , if that was the case, the cellphone would be unable to make or receive calls or send messages. It is best to take precautions and set limits. 

It would be hard to give up all our smartphones and other high-tech products. It will therefore be necessary for those who want to take precautions, to set limits and be careful.

⇒ List of precautions:

  • For students : We do not need our phone in class. It’s best to leave it in our bags. Having it in our trouser pockets can be very harmful to the surrounding organs , below the belt. In addition , if it vibrates, it will be more difficult to hear in class!
  • Electromagnetic waves are strongest when closest to the source. Having our phones stuck to our leg in a trouser pocket is not the best idea. Putting the phone in a backpack, purse or bag is more appropriate. Every centimeter counts (the further from the body, the better).
  • We do not need our phones when we are asleep so it’s best to keep far away from the bed or bedside table and put it in airplane mode.
  • For those who have a contract with a lot of roaming Data access, it's not worth leaving the 3G constantly switched on.It’s bad for the contract and even worse for the body. 3G waves are very powerful (imagine WIFI antennas that cover hundreds of kilometers). 4G is even more powerful than 3G so it is needless to say that this precaution is all the more important. It is the same with all the waves that can transmited by our phones ( 2G/3G/4G/LTE/NFC/WIFI/Bluetooth/etc.).
  • To prevent our phone beeing too close to the brain, it is preferable to use a hands free kit (wired) to make phone calls. Bluetooth hands-free kits should be avoided because they also use electromagnetic waves to communicate with the phone. It is sometimes difficult to adopt the hands free kit but it does not last and considering the benefits it brings in terms of health , it's well worth it!
  • Before buying a mobile phone, it is best to do research before and find a phone with a low S.A.R. (for information on the S.A.R. see "the S.A.R" page ) knowing that the European regulatory limit is 2.0 Watts per Kilogram.
  • When we are close to a product that emits electromagnetic waves and wear ear-rings, glasses, anything that is metal, our body absorbs more waves (see page " S.A.R."). It is therefore advisable to remove glasses or ear-rings to make phone calls (without it being annoying).
